Another scramble...

The weather has not been cooperating with filming lately. These summer thunderstorms are popping up with regular frequency. We were supposed to filming an outdoor cafe scene this morning, until the skies opened up and the lightning started crashing. So we jumped inside of a local restaurant and pulled together some quick set dressing. It should all work out fine, but not sure what we're going to do about some of the other outdoor scenes today. We don't have enough of the other actors available to move to any cover sets, so we'll have to hope for clear weather.

Instant set...

Just finished opening a big set that we had one day to pull together for One Tree Hill. It was a high end, slick sports agent's office, full of sports memorabilia that all had to be created and cleared. It turned out pretty nice considering the limited time frame. Luckily, we've got a great team of people in the art department to handle crazy deadlines like this. The gauntlet was thrown down - 'I know this is completely out of the blue, but we want a set that looks like Jerry Maguire' and we want to shoot it tomorrow. Never mind that Jerry Maguire was a big budget film and they probably spent 3 months designing, building, and dressing the set. What we did wasn't close to that, but it was still pretty impressive for being so quick.

If it's not in the frame,

it doesn't exist.
